Blood / Hematologic Cancers

Hematologic cancers include cancers of the blood and blood-forming tissues (such as the bone marrow). They include acute and chronic leukemias, Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, and multiple myeloma (a cancer of the bone marrow). Doctors at the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center specialize in diagnosis and treating these cancers, as well as non-cancerous disorders of the blood and bone marrow (such as anemia, clotting disorders, and myeloproliferative diseases, where the body does not produce enough functional blood cells).
