CLIMB® Program Helps Children Whose Parents, Guardians, or Caregivers Have Cancer

Children's Lives Include Moments of Bravery (CLIMB) is a special program developed by The Children's Treehouse Foundation, a non-profit foundation dedicated to the emotional support of children who have parents with cancer. Facilitators at NYU Langone have been specially trained to provide this program.

Facilitated by Laurel Stanley Glynn, MSSW, LCSW, ACHP-SW, OSW-C and Janine Martino, LCSW, the program offers group meetings held each week for 6 consecutive weeks.  Meetings are scheduled from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm.  While the children are in their session, parents will have their own support group.  The next program is scheduled to begin in September 2013.
