provided by our specialty trained radiologists in a convenient and comfortable environment.”
One in eight American women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime and mammography can detect breast lumps up to two years before they can be felt. NYU Langone performs exams using advanced technology and a comprehensive program of quality control. Every mammogram is interpreted by a radiologist specialist dedicated to breast imaging. A screening mammogram is for women who do not have current breast problems or complaints. It is a safe, low dose x-ray procedure, and for most women, the screening is performed annually.
“Booking your screening mammography with us is like scheduling peace of mind, we conveniently offer patients mammography results in real-time” said Hildegard B. Toth , MD, associate professor, Department of Radiology and the chief of Breast Imaging Section at NYU Langone.
Patients can schedule an appointment by calling the Center for Women’s Imaging at 212.731.5002.
